"passive" ForwardDynamics

Post by Günter Schneider » Mon Oct 21, 2013 7:01 am

Hi,

as part of my master thesis, I`ld like to simulate muscle force during training on a special legpress. Subjects are instructed to press (with 0%, 50% and 100% of voluntary activation) against the motor generated moving footplate of the legpress. The forces applied by the footplate and the path are stored.
I'm able to run ID and CMC, with my data form the legpress.
Due to the fact that subjects press with e.g. 50% of muscle activation against the footplate, I thougth that a FD with predefiened muscle activation and the applied force and path of the footplate would be the better, more realistic way to simulate my experiment?

When I tried FD with the results out of my CMC the movement of my leg wasn't like I hoped it would be. So is there a chance to include a motion-file in FD and def. activations of muscles?

Thanks a lot and kind regards

Guenter

Hi Gunter,
Did you collect EMG during the activity?
