Build from Source. First steps

Post by Mary K » Fri May 09, 2014 11:53 am

Hi,
I am new to opensim and want to change the way opensim sees ligaments. To do that, I have downloaded OpenSim Source Code and built it without a problem, following the tutorial.

My question is: running the source code shouldn't somehow an executable be created? How can I see the changes I make?

Thank you in advance

EDIT: I also run checkEnviroment.exe and get this output
Model unable to assemble: AssemblySolver::assemble() Failed: SimTK Exception thrown at Assembler.cpp:843:
Method Assembler::assemble() failed because:
Optimizer failed with message: SimTK Exception thrown at InteriorPointOptimizer.cpp:261:
Optimizer failed: Ipopt: Maximum iterations exceeded (status -1)
Assembly error tolerance achieved: 0.02 required: 1e-009.
Model relaxing constraints and trying again.
Start height = 0.5

Integrating from 0 to 3
OpenSim environment test completed successfully. You should see a block attached to two muscles visualized in a separate window.
but NO separate window opens!

Any help out there? :?
