Using c3d toolbox

Post by Ran Sopher » Mon Jun 16, 2014 2:16 pm

Hi all,

I am trying to run this amazing c3d extraction toolbox (https://simtk.org/home/c3dtoolbox/) on c3d files I found on the internet (http://www.c-motion.com/download/exampl ... Sample.zip) just to try it and practice using OpenSim until I have my own data. I then have an error message (TOOLBOX CURRENTLY ONLY SUPPORTS TYPE 2 FORCE PLATES (3 Force & 3 Moment analog channel outputs). i.e. AMTI, BERTEC). Does anybody know how to solve this problem please?

Regards,
Ran

Dear Ran,

you can try to use MOtoNMS, a recent software to convert C3D files into inputs for OpenSim, freely available from its simtk webpage: https://simtk.org/home/motonms/.
It supports types 1 to 4 force plates.
You can find all available tools at http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:80 ... otion+Data.

Regards,

Alice

Hi,
I have a problem with Matlab 2013a for Winxp. I have installed the GaitExtractToolbox171 but I cannot run the command for reading C3d files like: c3dFileStatic = 'REF 02.c3d'; or
C3dStruct = extractC3d(c3dFileStatic,type, direction);
I don't know what's wrong with this and I have also tried lots of toolbox but none of them has solved the problem!
I was wondering if the toolbox is not correct or it has not been installed correctly. I have added the path of it to the Set Path.
Thanks in advance for your help
