Foot scaling

Post by Jack Zhao » Wed Dec 10, 2014 8:04 pm

Dear Professors and supporters:
I'm a Ph.D student from Institute of Textile and clothing in Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The following is part of the description of our project:
1. Scanning using foot scanner and acquire the 3D human foot model;
2. Scale the generic foot anatomical structures into subject-specific ones according to the landmarks on scanned foot surface (we invite technician to do this and pick them out digitally);
3. Align the foot surface and the subject-specific anatomical structures and then we can generate a functional foot model with anatomical info on the surface of the foot... (using for footwear customization and later analysis)

Now could I ask you for the solution of the second step (red color), including:
Are there given detailed generic foot musculoskeletal model in Opensim library ?
Are there suggestions provided by Opensim system that "which set of foot surface landmarks are used for foot scaling?"

Thanks very much and hope sincerely for your kind instruction!

Thanks & Regards,
Jack
