Manual Scaling

Post by Alessandra Scarton » Mon Dec 15, 2014 9:30 am

Hello everybody,
I am trying to scale a model (in particular 3DGaitModel2392) using the manual scaling instead of the usual measurements based method. I have the length of different parts of the model like tibia, femur and so on but how can I determine the scale value if the initial length of the bones of the original model is not provided?
Is there any place where I can find this information or should I extract it from the .vtp files of the geometries?

Thanks,
Alessandra

Dear Alessandra,

I think that when you load the scaling xml file with the scaling tool in the message window it prints some information and if you have added some markers it will print the pair distances. Please try the \OpenSim 3.2\Models\Gait2392_Simbody\subject01_Setup_Scale.xml.

Cheers,
Jim
