Joint Reaction Analysis results

Post by Filipa Joao » Wed Dec 17, 2014 5:28 am

Hello everyone,

While using the Joint Reaction analysis tool in gait, I get the following message during the process:

WARN: Controller::setup : Actuator ExternalForce_1_transformedP was not found and will be ignored.
WARN: Controller::setup : Actuator ExternalForce_2_transformedP was not found and will be ignored.

Looking at the calculated joint reaction forces, the results are excessively high. Can anyone elucidate me about this error? Are the collected ground reaction forces files being neglected?

Thank you
Best regards

Filipa

Dear Filipa,

As you said, the external forces (ground reaction) are not included in the analysis so the transformation is ignored. Try to include the external forces and set the xml file correct. Take a look into \OpenSim 3.2\Models\Gait2392_Simbody\subject01_walk1_grf.xml how to setup the external forces.

Cheers,
Jim
