Simulate movement with inverse Kinematics

Post by Saiyi Li » Sat Dec 27, 2014 5:50 pm

Hi, I wanted to so some simulation with opensim. Suppose I have an equation for the trajectory if wrist, can I use opensim to simulate the possible movement and give me the possible positions of elbow? Thank you,

Hi Saiyi-

You can put a marker at a point on the wrist, define the a .trc with the a full trajectory, and run IK using this information. The model's coordinates (including elbow) will be moved to track the trajectory.

Cheers,
