Orientation of the joint contact surface

Post by Marc Grepper » Sun Mar 01, 2015 8:01 am

Hello there,

After my model is verified, I would like to change the orientation of the joint contact surface, where is it possible to do that?
I don't think the joint orientation parameter in the model file is what I am looking for.

My second question is, if it is possible to import surface files(for example .stl from CAD) to simulate an implant and calculate the joint reaction forces?

cheers,
Marc

Hi Marc-

Could you explain more on 'changing the orientation of the joint contact surface'? Do you mean altering the geometry of the bone files or the location and orientation of the joint itself?

For visualization purposes in the GUI you can use either .vtp (VTK Format), .stl or .obj file formats.

Cheers,
-James
