Opensim to Maya ?

Post by Pagnon David » Mon Apr 13, 2015 12:01 pm

Hello everybody !

This question might be dumb but I have difficulties in finding a solution. I would like to export an Opensim model to Maya, with at least its bones, and if possible it muscles and joints.
Do you have any tool or method for it?

Thanks !
David

PS: Maybe you will make a better usage of the clues I have found:
- export vtp ?
- MakeHuman?
- This presentation

You can use paraview or meshlab to convert vtp. files to the type supported by Maya.
If you need information of joints, you should write a conversion code because the definition (format)
might be different.

Best regards,
jiang

Thanks Jiang !
However I would like not only to import .vtp files, but also to import their motions. Actually, I'd like to get the exact same view in Maya as the one I get in Opensim.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated !
Regards

PS: What do you mean by information of joints? Getting the joint centers? If so, I'm also very interested in this issue: https://simtk.org/forums/viewtopic.php? ... 066#p14066
