How to use vicon nexus data into opensim?

Post by ajinkya patil » Wed Jun 24, 2015 5:06 am

I am using vicon nexus software for motion capturing, and I would like to use the data obtained by vicon nexus into opensim to compare my simulation with experimental data. How to do it? And I would also like to know how to create squat simulation in opensim and how to develop a new marker set in opensim? My email id is ajinkyapatil281292@gmail.com

I have went through tutorials but in those there were ready-made files for scaling, IK, ID and other analyses. So I am still clueless. Please help me.

Hi,

I would suggest you to look into this website http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:80 ... otion+Data for the list of toolboxes available for converting the motion capture data into OpenSim compatible files. I suppose Lee-son's toolbox is related to vicon.

To define a new marker protocol for your model in OpenSim, add/edit the virtual markers in the model and save the markers into xml from the navigator window. Hope it helps you.

Regards,
Vishal
