max_isometric_force parameter

Post by Ran Sopher » Thu Dec 17, 2015 10:48 am

Dear all,

I am using the Gait2392 model and I want to adjust the max_isometric_force parameter. I know this should be the product of the physiological cross-sectional area (from Friederich et al. (1990) and Wickiewicz (1983); http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:80 ... 354+Models), and a 'specific tension' factor. Does anyone know the value of this factor used in that model?

Regards,
Ran

From the original dissertation (page 34) the specific tension was 61Ncm^2. There is also a nice forum discussion about the choice here
