Is it possible to have one model following another while doing IK?

I am trying to build an exoskeleton that follows human's motion. I currently combined 2 models into 1, human and exoskeleton. While the human got motion by doing IK with data from motion capture, I wonder can I write any control method that the exoskeleton will follow this motion, too? Not doing the IK on the exoskeleton, but use angle or position data from human model, and we may even predict human movement by these data. Like forming a feedback controller based on measurement from IK.
