I am intending on building active muscle models in opensim for using them for investigating vehicle frontal crash and I would like compare the results with MADYMO.
I need to input force data into the muscle or keep the muscles activated and then induce acceleration on the entire model before bringing it to a sudden halt. The output I expect from this would be reaction muscle forces.
Is this possible??
Kindly let me know ???
I intend to do this as my thesis

There are a few ways you could approach this problem. You could model the "vehicle" as a platform connected to ground with a prismatic joint. The human model would then be connected to a "seat" on the platform (may involve rigid attachments, compliant contact, and/or a seat belt, as necessary to answer your research question). A PrescribedController (
https://simtk.org/api_docs/opensim/api_ ... oller.html) could be used to accelerate/stop the vehicle in a forward dynamic simulation (
http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:80 ... d+Dynamics). You would also need controllers that provide excitation signals to the muscles based on the state of the model. Please see DeMers's reflex controllers as a starting point:

Hello Mr. Uchida,
I would like to apply vibration to a seated human body and analyze the muscle activation for difference vibration module. Would you please enlight me the way to start the project? Thanks
