Muscle responses to normal gate

Post by Kaique de Oliveira » Sun Oct 22, 2017 11:30 am

Greetings,

I'm currently working on a paper about a lower limb exoesqueleton.
I took the gait2392 model and added new bodies attached to the torso, femur, tibia and calcaneus. My professor also sent me a motion file containing kinematic data from a gait of a subject (with and without the exo).

I'd like to obtain the muscle responses from my model to a normal gait cycle. How can I do that without having the ground reaction forces data?

Thanks in advance.

If you don't have ground reaction forces the assessments will be wrong, because you will underestimate the required muscle forces and other variables of interest. Still you can perform IK, ID and SO.
