Hi all,
I have a pretty basic question here (I think). I am trying to understand how the BushingForce is treated during Joint Reaction Analysis. My question is whether the BushingForce forces and moments are included within the resulting joint reaction forces and moments. From what I've gathered, I believe the answer is no. But some verification would be helpful.
Example:
If I have a BushingForce between two vertebra that produces 500 N, and in that same direction the resolved joint reaction force is 800 N in the same direction, does that mean that an additional 800 N is being carried by the joint structure (not including the bushing), or just 300 N?

I think the bushing forces/moments are not included in the joint reaction forces/moments. I encourage you to do your own simple test with a model consisting of a single body, a slider joint, and one bushing force.
