Scaling by diameter value

Hello !
I'm a new user of OpenSim and I want to thank you for the development of this powerful tool.
I'm actually working on static models on which I want to apply a 'specific scale'. With a first scale, I am able to obtain the scale model represented on the scheme attached. I have set bodies and markers in order to draw lines (grey lines) from the green cross to the red crosses. On these lines I have set bodies with slider joints (pink crosses), constraining them to move only along the grey line. Actually what I want to do is to perform a scale allowing me to set these bodies with a length and not a location or a manual scale. What I want is to set the pink crosses on the grey line, with a specific radius/length, for example 5mm in the scheme.
Is it possible to do that without knowing neither the location of the body nor the scale factor to apply ?
Thanks in advance
Sebastien
