Muscle activations

Post by Pia Stefanek » Tue Oct 23, 2018 9:20 am

Hi,

I have a Question concerning the muscle activations, controls and actuation force. I used the model Gait2354 and performed a gait Simulation. The I performed CMC and plotted actuations, controls and Forces. I got the results which are attached below. I wanted to compare the activations to the EMG results of a book but they do not match. Is this because of the implementation of the Thelen muscle?

Thank you in Advance.

Kind regards
Pia

There may be some helpful discussion in the following paper (see, e.g., Section 3.3, Section 3.5, and Figure 10): Hicks, J.L., Uchida, T.K., Seth, A., Rajagopal, A., Delp, S.L. Is my model good enough? Best practices for verification and validation of musculoskeletal models and simulations of movement.
