A strange problem

Post by Sharmita Dey » Fri Dec 14, 2018 4:22 am

Hello everyone,

I have a strange problem and wanted to know if anyone has faced the same. I have done scaling and inverse kinematics for level walk at my home computer and everything worked fine and the model simulated the walk from the marker trajectories fine.

But when I got the same files at my lab, i.e the same scaled model, same ik.mot file, same Ik settings, and when I load motion (the IK.mot file )in the scaled model, the walking simulation does not happen. i.e the model is static without any motion. However, when I plot the required joints in the ik file, the plots are fine.

I believe, it has something to do with version/settings in the scaled .osim file /ik file created from my home computer? or an old version motion file?

Has anyone faced similar problem?

Thanks and Regards
Sharmita Dey

It is possible that the locale settings (e.g., 100,0 vs 100.0) of the OS are different.
