hello all
I have a question about cerebral palsy patient.I want to use opensim to determin the surgical planning and predict the effect of treatment before performing TP tendon transfer.I want to know how to get a patient model by general model, what process should I do and what experimental file should be get.
Note:I just know that I should do scaling,IK,RRA and CMC,but I am not sure that is right.
If you kown the answer, please tell me.
Thank you very much.

Hi,

The methods that will be used depend on the hypothesis that you would like to address. There are a lot of publications on this matter, so you can look at their approach.

Model parametrization is another topic on its own. Again it depends on the type of measurements that you have at disposition.

It would be best if could read some introductory material on biomechanics and familiarize yourself with OpenSim. I suggest the OpenSim user guide and books like:

David Winter, Biomechanics and Motor Control of Human Movement

Francisco J Valero-Cuevas, Fundamentals of Neuromechanics

I am sure you can find more relevant material on the internet.
