Using old models on OpenSim 4.0

Post by Aushim Nagarkatti » Wed Jan 16, 2019 5:24 am

I had been working on the beta version of OpenSim 4.0. I recently downloaded the latest release of OpenSim 4.0 and am having troubles loading models, particularly the MOBL Arms Upper Limb Model. How do i fix this error?

Did you try the two suggestions in the warning message?

Hi Aushim,

I've been encountering this same problem recently, and the main issue this seems to bring up is using motion files calculated from older versions of Opensim (i.e. from inverse kinematics).

I'm not sure whether I imagined seeing this somewhere, but it did work for me - if you open up these older models in 4.0 and then re-save them, the warning disappears the next time you open that new model the warning doesn't appear. Keep in mind though that I don't think models that you save in 4.0 work with older versions.

Aaron
