Patella abduction is one of my 14 y.o sons problems. He recently underwent surgery to shorten tendons to try and locate the patella with mixed results. We have tried various elastic bandages without success. One of his problems is that the top of the tibia is singularly crowned rather than double crowned and the patella doesn't track. The resultant least resistant path, on muscle contraction, is to the side of the knee.

I am interested in any prior experience with this pathology and any devices, corrections that may be available.
