How to make the model subject specific

The purpose of this project is to provide a model of the human knee capable of resolving medial and lateral tibiofemoral contact forces.

The model will be released upon publication of the manuscript describing its development.

How to make the model subject specific

Post by Todd Leutzinger » Wed Dec 04, 2019 12:50 pm

Hello,
The paper "How tibiofemoral alignment and contact locations affect predictions of medial and lateral tibiofemoral contact forces" by Lerner et al. discusses the importance of the tibiofemoral alignment angle along with the medial and lateral contact locations for knee joint contact data, but the paper never specifies how this is done in the model and I am unable to find it anywhere online. Can someone please explain to me how to make these features subject-specific in the model? Thank you.

Hi Todd,
I guess modifying the orientations of the parent/child segments in the additional 'joints' would do the job.
Cheers,
Hans
