Joint Reaction Analysis

Post by Ralph Lauren » Wed Sep 25, 2013 3:12 am

Ive started using OpenSim for my project which deals with analysis of forces across the hip Joint. Being new to the software i tried out the tutorials, but still havent uncerstood the crux of what im analysing. Can somebody please give me a proper protocol of what ive to do in order to calculate forces on a normal hip joint in a walking gait cycle..

Hi Ralph,

A description of the Joint reaction analysis can be found here:
http://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:80 ... s+Analysis

A paper has also been published that may help you understand the calculation and how it can be implemented;
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/ar ... 6211007910

Do you have any specific issues with the analysis though?

cheers,
