Dear all,
I would appreciate any of your help on my problem on handling GUI.
Firstly I could see the model moving when I press the play button to see the result of analysis (e.g. IK, RRA, CMC, etc.), but recently the motion data cannot be played (or graphically updated) though the time bar is moving forward.
When I rotate or change the view on GUI, the position of the model is updated to the current one.
I am wondering how I can solve this problem.
I appreciate any suggestions. I am using OpenSim 3.1 on Windows7 (64bit)
Best regards,
Yusuke

Hi Yusuke,
It may be an issue with the Grpahics Card. If you adjust the settings to improve performance (over quality) does the issue resolve? Please let us know.
cheers,
-James

Re: Models do not move when loading and playing .mot file
Dear James,
Thank you for your advice.
It might be the problem of the Graphics Card (GeForce GTX 560M) performance as you say, because I noticed this problem after taking my laptop outside the lab, where I used it under power-saving mode.
However, the problem could not be solved though I changed the settings to high-performance mode and changed NVIDIA control panel settings for OpenSim to more high-performance ones.
I can see the model moving while I rotate the view, but it makes me a little bit dizzy.
I would appreciate it if you, or other members here, could give me some ideas about what to verify or change.
Best regards,
Yusuke Okita

Re: Models do not move when loading and playing .mot file
Dear Yusuke,
I've seen a similar problem, intermittently, on a very old machine (that was caused by the very slow initialization of the graphics/visualization). What worked was to close the 3D window and open a fresh 3D window one after the application is up. Then the wiring was done correctly and animations worked.
Please let me know if that works for you.

Dear Ayman,
It worked well. Closing and adding a view enabled playing animation.
My laptop is not so old (bought 2 years ago), but this problem occurred.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Yusuke
