Constraining Muscle Excitations in Static Optimization

Post by Elena Caruthers » Fri Jan 24, 2014 7:52 am

Hello!

I am trying to figure out if the Static Optimization tool has the same capability as CMC in constraining limits on the model's actuators, specifically setting muscle excitation limits (i.e. from .02 to 1). In the release notes of OpenSim 2.2.1, it says that part of its new functionality was that the user has the "ability to set the bounds on controls for actuators in Static Optimization." Does this include being able to specify the maximum and minimum "excitation" for an actuator? If so, where in the Static Optimization tool can I set those bounds for different muscles?

Thank you!
