Importing SIMM models into OpenSim

Post by Anthony Kulas » Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:12 am

Hello,
I am currently having a little difficulty loading my SIMM mocap model into OpenSim. I would like to use OpenSim to create the muscle-actuated motions during landing. When I try to import my SIMM model into OpenSim and choose the Simbody Engine, I get a couple of errors that read "Joint tib_pat_r contains a DOF (r3) which is a function of a coordinate (knee_flex_r) used in a different joint (knee_r). This is not allowed by Simbody Engine." If I am not mistaken, the "Separate Legs" model used by the Simbody engine also uses the knee flesion angle as a function to describe the tib_pat joint motion. Any help with this would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Tony
