Quadriceps force

Post by Cosimo Aloisi » Wed Jun 11, 2014 6:58 am

Hi everybody,

I'm quite new about OpenSim and I'm using it to determine the force exerted by the femoral quadriceps during a squatjump.

Do I have to execute mandatorily the CMC tool (with its high execution time) and refer to the CMC output file "*_Actuation_force.sto" or is there another faster method?

Thanks very much!

Best regards,
Cosimo Aloisi

Hi Cosimo,

If you want cut down on time, you can run Static Optimization. Being an inverse method, it much runs faster than CMC.

Hope that helps,

Hi James,

however by plotting the column relative to the quadriceps force of the CMC output file "*_Actuation_force.sto" as a function of time is a correct way, isn't it?

Thanks a lot!
