First of all, congratulations on this nice piece of software. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of detail involved in the simulations when I first saw it.
I do think that the OpenSim package could benefit from a more extended environment graphics wise. Personally, I would like to create high-quality movies of upper extremity movements using Blender or build interactive 'movement games' using Crystal Space. Is there any way of coupling OpenSim to either of these packages?
I'd also like to extend the simulation models with neural pathology, so as to simulate the effects of damage to central or peripheral tracts or nerves. Does the current engine support stuff like this?
I have quite a number of years of professional software engineering experience in addition to medical experience and am willing to invest some time into extending the software if necessary and possible.
Kind regards,

RE: Extending graphics output and models
Dear Rene,
Currently, the gfx environment is not extensible (or there is no exposed API). What you're trying to do, however, will be possible when we expose OpenSim as a public API so that you can link the OpenSim libraries to any other software platform you're familiar with. This (exposing the API) should happen later this summer.
Good luck,
-Ayman

Re: Extending graphics output and models
Hello,
I know this is a quit old poste, but I’m very interested in that question. Does OpenSim have now the possibility to export animations to other graphic environments such as Blender, or is there still no way to do that?
Thank you so far
By the way great program!
