Simulate a ligament

Post by yu lu » Wed Jul 01, 2015 6:20 am

Hello All!

I am a beginner of OpenSim.
I am trying to simulate a knee joint with ligament.
But with plotter there is only muscles can be plotted.
How can I plot for ligament ?

Any comment would be very helpful!
Thank you in advance!

OpenSim doesn't support plotting of Model ligament properties yet, just muscles. If you have run a simulation, and you have the results of that simulation, you can plot ligament force from that results file. Since the length of the ligament is simply a ffunction of its length, you can back calculate the length during the motion.
