Scaling failed in the MedLat_Knee_Model

The purpose of this project is to provide a model of the human knee capable of resolving medial and lateral tibiofemoral contact forces.

The model will be released upon publication of the manuscript describing its development.

Scaling failed in the MedLat_Knee_Model

Post by Aseel Ghazwan » Wed Apr 06, 2016 7:31 am

Hi,
I’m using OpenSim 3.3 and I did some work with 3D knee model, to measure joint loading during gait. So I’m a bit familiar with scaling, Inverse kinematics, inverse dynamics, Static Optimization, JRF tools.
But when I used “ MedLat_Knee_Model_Lerner_et_al.osim” model and trying to scale the model, unfortunately the scaling just doesn't work for me. The progress bar seems to be on running forever, as shown in the attached screenshot.

A similar case is described here viewtopic.php?f=91&t=5961

They advised to install OpenSim in a different location. But I can not go with this solution, because I can Run the “scaling” tool for other models, so I don’t think my problem is related the installation location.
Any help and suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Aseel
