Hi all,
As it is known that the CMC tool output the neural excitations corresponding to certain kinematics, and those excitations can be the input to the forward dynamics tool. Also, in CMC tool excitations can be bounded to allow a comparision with EMG measurements.
But EMG measurement, depending on the resolution of the sensors used, can give an approximate idea of the muscle excitation.
Does the neural excitation of CMC tool give an idea about the total excitation by which a muscle is activated to allow the specified kinematics , or like EMG measurements an approximation of a proportion of that initial input to a muscle ( since EMG deals more with the surface of a muscle) ?
Thanks in advance,
Sariah

Re: Neural excitations of CMC Tool
Yes. CMC calculates one possible solution for the excitation patterns. Moreover, the assessment depends on the muscle model (activation and contraction dynamics), where many assumptions and simplifications (resolution) are made.Does the neural excitation of CMC tool give an idea about the total excitation by which a muscle is activated to allow the specified kinematics
