Hello everyone,
I am just wondering if anyone has used the latest DAS version for any kind of static optimization and joint reaction analysis? I am interested to run static optimization and joint reaction analysis with the latest DAS model. From the following link, it seems that static optimization has some issues with DAS model. Since it was posted more than two years ago, I am not sure whether it was resolved in the latest version.

Re: Static optimization and Joint reaction analysis
Dear Hafizur,
We built the DAS for forward dynamic simulations, which we run in Matlab, and we are just using the OpenSim model to visualize the results (and for some pre-processing).
We do not use the OpenSim model for inverse kinematic or dynamic simulations, because it does not include a model of the contact between the thorax and the scapula. To solve this problem, I have recently added the scapulothoracic joint developed by Seth et al. (https://simtk.org/projects/scapulothoracic) to the OpenSim model. It is not yet fully tested, but I am wondering whether I should upload it anyway, since other people have asked me about it too.
Would you be happy to help me test it? (i.e. stay in touch via SimTK and let me know of any issues you come across). I'll try to get everything ready and upload it within a month. How does that sound?
Best wishes,
Dimitra
