Induce acceleration on a body

Post by kishan srinivas indrani » Sat Feb 04, 2017 3:34 pm

Hi :) ,
I have a .stl file in opensim and I want to induce an acceleration on this object.
I would like to know if this is possible and if yes then how?
I also came across prescribed force but I am not sure as how to use it :?: :?: .
Kindly let me know.
Thanks :D

You cannot induce an acceleration on a mesh because, among other things, it has no mass. What you might want to do is attach the mesh to a body and either apply forces to the body, prescribe its motion using a controller, or run a simulation where the body tracks a specified trajectory.
