convert schutte to milliard2012

Post by raman samberia » Wed Apr 18, 2018 2:28 am

sir i have upper extremity model for human arm simulation. I want to convert schutte1993 muscle to milliard muscle .
for that i need values of following
strainAtOneNormForce ....... 0.049
stiffnessAtOneNormForce .... 1.375/strainAtOneNormForce
normForceAtToeEnd .......... 2.0/3.0
curviness .................. 0.5
but i cant do it by hit and trial sir from where can i get exact value of these properties so i can change my schutte model to milliard model or which variables i can change freely

It is very unclear what those numbers mean and why you need them to convert the muscles. You can just convert the muscles to Millard and then tune the muscle parameters to match whatever data you have.

Here is the documentation for the (depreciated) Schutte Muscle;

sir in opensim api whenever i try to find out the new tendon force length curve for new milliard muscle model similar to older schutte1993 model these are the value that it ask for new force length curve

Please read the documentation for the TendonForceLengthCurve Class; https://simtk.org/api_docs/opensim/api_ ... ml#details

sir the problem is passive tendon force length curve given in upper extremity arm model starts from 0 instead of 1 . The muscle passive force length relationship given in upper arm extremity model is

even after normalizing, the curve will still start from 0 .but prescribed force length curve realationship is

.
sir how can i change my muscle properties for milliard muscle model to match the properties gven by upper extremity muscle model

1st plot is given for all muscle so I cant normalize it because isometric force and tendon slack length for all muscle is differnet
