RRA extreme mass adjustment

Post by Valentina Gallego » Tue May 15, 2018 9:15 am

i was running the RRA and I got this crazy results for mass adjustment

* Recommended mass adjustments:
* Total mass change: -2.51188e+009
* ground: orig mass = 0, new mass = 0
* pelvis: orig mass = 11.777, new mass = -3.72847e+008
* femur_r: orig mass = 9.3014, new mass = -2.94472e+008
* tibia_r: orig mass = 3.7075, new mass = -1.17375e+008
* patella_r: orig mass = 0.0862, new mass = -2.729e+006
* talus_r: orig mass = 0.1, new mass = -3.16589e+006
* calcn_r: orig mass = 1.25, new mass = -3.95736e+007
* toes_r: orig mass = 0.2166, new mass = -6.85732e+006
* femur_l: orig mass = 9.3014, new mass = -2.94472e+008
* tibia_l: orig mass = 3.7075, new mass = -1.17375e+008
* patella_l: orig mass = 0.0862, new mass = -2.729e+006
* talus_l: orig mass = 0.1, new mass = -3.16589e+006
* calcn_l: orig mass = 1.25, new mass = -3.95736e+007
* toes_l: orig mass = 0.2166, new mass = -6.85732e+006
* torso: orig mass = 26.8266, new mass = -8.49301e+008
* humerus_r: orig mass = 2.0325, new mass = -6.43467e+007
* ulna_r: orig mass = 0.6075, new mass = -1.92328e+007
* radius_r: orig mass = 0.6075, new mass = -1.92328e+007
* hand_r: orig mass = 0.4575, new mass = -1.44839e+007
* humerus_l: orig mass = 2.0325, new mass = -6.43467e+007
* ulna_l: orig mass = 0.6075, new mass = -1.92328e+007
* radius_l: orig mass = 0.6075, new mass = -1.92328e+007
* hand_l: orig mass = 0.4575, new mass = -1.44839e+007
* barbell: orig mass = 4.005, new mass = -1.26794e+008

is it caused by a units problem? or for the actuators file. How do I know what should the optimal forces and control values be?

Just a guess, are you apply ground reaction forces in your RRA?

There is some error in how you applying the forces to the model. Could be units, could be the location of force application- hard to tell just from the mass adjustment readout. If you post a zip of everything someone can use to reproduce the problem then someone can try and see what is wrong.
