help for project

Post by Tahir çelik » Wed Dec 26, 2018 7:26 am

Hi everyone,
I have started learning opensim for a while with my friend to generate human movement simulation. Our project will be for educaional purpose, but i dont know where can i find the best guideline for learning that software (tutorials are not that helpful btw) to basically, edit the model based on shared data on online resources, mass, inertias, and editing the motion data for example, without using trackers, we want to edit the motion data such a way that if model is running, we alter the motion to walking or performing any kind o motion. Wherever i check them in that platform those datta files i have downloaded are in trc.,mot., form. does anyone suggest where can we start? using which resources? or which steps should we follow ?

Thanks.

Hi,

I suppose you are familiar with the user guide

https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8 ... w/28776211

and github

https://github.com/opensim-org/opensim-core

You can also search for relevant projects on the simtk page. What you are requesting is not implemented in OpenSim and is not an easy problem to solve. Nevertheless, you can always extend the core functionality through the API or custom plugins.
