Point Kinematics

Post by Muhammad Muaaz » Tue Jan 15, 2019 3:13 am

Hi,

I wanted to perform point kinematics on the Gait2354_Simbody. I am unable to find, how to a add a point on the model for analyzing point kinematics. Any guidance in this regard will be much appreciated.

Secondly, I wanted to ask does point kinematics follows that same workflow as the body kinematics ?

In the Analyze Tool (Tools->Analyze Tool) when you add a PointKinematics analysis in the third tab. You can edit the analysis and there is an option to add the coordinates of the point of interest. You can use the model markers to find the the offset (coordinates) of the marker in the body local frame. Then you can use this information in the PointKinematics analysis.

Thanks for answering the question. Following your direction I was able to add a point.

Can you give me some hint on my other question regarding correct usage analysis tool in Opensim workflow. My complete question is posted here.
