Packaging OpenMM for Debian

The functionality of OpenMM will (eventually) include everything that one would need to run modern molecular simulation.

Packaging OpenMM for Debian

Post by Samuel Flores » Mon Mar 25, 2019 6:16 am

Guys,

Andrius is packaging OpenMM for Debian, I think it would be really convenient to be able to install the package with apt-get. Then other packages that use OpenMM could also be packaged. He submitted a bug report on github but at the risk of being annoying I thought I would cross-post here.

How did this go? I would be pleased to test the package on my stack.

the package builds successfully, however, there are problems with
missing shared object names and versions (see the full lintian report at
mentors.debian.org ). I have submitted a bug report, it must be
addressed by the upstream before uploading the package to Debian. You
may nevertheless try the package from its packaging repository.

Best regards,
Andrius
