Not getting the desired ankle moment pattern

Post by Rajbeer Anand » Fri Mar 08, 2019 6:49 am

Hi

Greetings for the day !!

I am putting the ankle, knee and hip angles (both right and left) of the data given in the 1991 David A Winter book titled "Biomechanics and motor control of human gait : normal, elderly and pathological" in the subject01_walk_IK.mot file, and keeping the pelvis kinematics and lumbar extension the same as the original OpenSim data (because these values are not available in the Winter book). Also I am using the same ground reaction forces as given in the OpenSim data. But on performing the inverse dynamics I am not getting the desired pattern of the ankle moment. Can you please help me with this.

Thank you

You will need to post more information. What are the plots of what you expect vs what you get?

Dear Mr. Dunne,

I have attached a png file in which the red graph is what I am getting and the blue graph is what I expect. I am basically concerned with the shape of the curve, it is expected to have one peak but it is giving two peaks.

Thank you

Regards,
Rajbeer
