Static Optimization Practice

Post by John Hodges » Tue Sep 24, 2019 2:57 pm

I have a 3-D model of the human shoulder and neck created in Avizo. The appropriate force components and torque arms of the weight of the shoulders, arms, and head in Avizo. The attachment sites of the muscles connecting the head to the shoulders are defined. I am interested in importing this model into Opensim to run the static optimization tool. How can I convert from an .av file to an .osim file that is capable of interacting with the GUI? Will I need to establish different virtual markers from the experimental markers? Is it possible to create a .mot file that does not have any actual motion? So at different times, the markers are registering the same data, representing a static equation.
