Opensense: live results and plots

Post by Bruno Pinto » Thu May 28, 2020 4:25 am

Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to read the sensor data and visualize it using open sense during the readings. I also would like to know if there is the possibility of obtaining the plots of the OpenSim in python during the reading.

Thank you for your help!!

Hi Bruno,

Current setup, out of the box, for opensense and our tools in general is to run off-line on pre-recorded sensor data. You can write your own driver/code that tries to accomplish the "live" counter-part utilizing our API. There are several community efforts to perform online calculations (e.g. https://github.com/RealTimeBiomechanics/rtosim) but none of them is incorporated into OpenSim or opensense yet, though we plan to tackle these issues in the near future.

Best regards,
-Ayman
