Scaling - preview static pose

Post by Maud Hendriksen » Wed Jun 24, 2020 2:15 am

Hi all,
I'm new to using OpenSim and struggling with scaling my model at the moment. If I check the preview static pose option in the scaling tool, only the virtual markers are displayed and I do not get the experimental markers. Once I uncheck the option I only see the experimental markers. Anyone that has had the same problem and knows how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

After scaling, you can go to File -> Preview experimental data and load the markers. Please note that the model that is created after scaling might be displaced. Right clock on the model, go to display and change the model offset parameters to zero. In this way you can overlap the scaled model and the experimental marker positions.

Also not that if the markers are displaced significantly from the model, it is possible that the marker set is not properly defined. You must ensure that each marker is defined in the reference frame of the corresponding body and not the ground body (this is a common mistake).
