How to simulate an isometric contraction

Post by Jessica Fonseca » Wed Aug 05, 2020 5:22 am

Hello everyone,

I have some data from isometric contraction force measured by a dynamometer in twelve different external shoulder rotation exercises and I would like to simulate it in OpenSim to compare the joint and tendon load in each exercise. Is it possible? How can I do that?

Looking forward to your reply.

Another recent post has some ideas about how to model/simulate a task with a dynamometer: viewtopicPhpbb.php?f=91&t=12282

After simulating, you could use Joint Reaction Analysis (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu/d ... s+Analysis) to get joint loads, and Muscle Analysis (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu/d ... m/Analyses) to get any relevant muscle or tendon loads
