How do I choose filtering frequency?

Post by Karin Lundengard » Thu Jan 21, 2021 4:45 pm

Hi,
How do I choose the right frequency for filtering the movement in for example Inverse Dynamics? Is filtering needed if I have made up data with no noise?

If you have made up data, you may not want to filter (since you would be making changes to the motion you're calculating). Choosing a filter frequency from real data depends on the type of motion (and the frequency content of the motion) that you're interested in, which can sometimes take some testing to see what's best with your data.
