Weight coefficient of Inverse Kinematics tool

Post by Paul Chris » Sun Apr 11, 2021 4:18 am

Hello!

What is the relationship between the weight of mark points in the picture and the result of inverse kinematics? Or what will be affected by the weight of a given marker point? Thank you for your answer

We look forward to your reply

The Inverse Kinematics Tool solves a weighted least squares problem, as described in the documentation (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu/d ... tics+Works) and demonstrated in Tutorial 3 (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu/d ... e+Dynamics). Increasing the weight of a marker will reduce its tracking error.
