Hi all,
The scale model tool seems to be bugged. I initially didn't realise this, but as I talked to another student using OpenSim and after watching some instruction videos, we both found the following: When checking the box for 'preview static pose (no marker movement)', two sets of markers should appear; a blue set for the experimental data and a pink set for the model markers. However, the blue set does not appear. I can load it manually through file -> preview experimental data.
Am I doing something wrong in using the scale tool, or is the function not working properly?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Scale model tool seems bugged?
Hi Nerissa,
this doesn't seem to be a bug.
The Youtube tutorial linked in the documentation seems to be out-dated: The Scale Tool: Evaluating the Results
There is a bug report (id:2268) where Ayman Habib answered as follow:
"Date: 2019-04-12 08:28

As of version 3.3, experimental markers are not visualized as part of the scaling process, instead you load experimental markers separately and overlay them over the scaled model to see the errors. Preview has nothing to do with experimental markers, it has to do with whether to move the model markers actually or just view how they would be moved without moving them.
Hope this helps"
The work around to get the experimental markers and virtual markers overlaid can be found in the thread Experimental markers not visible

Hi Sebastian,
Thank you for your reply. This makes it clear then. I have indeed been working around it by loading the experimental markers separately.
Best,
Nerissa
