Calculating gait metrics

Hello,

Hope you are doing well. Is there a way of calculating gait metrics such as stride length, step length etc from OpenSim after the IK process?

Some tools that could help are the BodyKinematics or PointKinematics Analysis tools. BodyKinematics will give you the position of the origin of the frame of each body. PointKinematics may be better, since you can add an offset to a point on a body, and get its position over time. You would still have to go in and annotate (or automate) when foot strikes occurred, but this could help at least get you positions to work with after IK.
