Opensim Gui does not work with some models.

Post by Sietse Achterop » Fri Apr 01, 2022 7:39 am

Hello,
I have seen this before.
I created Bootbaan.osim, with works perfectly in the Gui, playing with the coordinate values and such.
If I remove 2 bodies and the relevant joints, creating Bootbaan_1.osim, it first seems OK but I cannot change any coordinate in the Gui!
It is a perfectly valid model but It is unusable.

I created the models using python (why is .py not an accepted file type with the attachments below?).
Both in python and in the resulting model the only difference with the first model is that the 2 bodies and 2 balljoints are not present.

What is wrong here?
Thanks Sietse.

Hello Sietse,

In both cases the models failed to open for me because of missing mesh file box6_0.6_0.2.stl, for this you're probably better off opening an issue on github so we can iterate, and then post the resolution here.

Would be good to check the topology view in the GUI to see if the tree of bodies and joints is what you expected in both cases.

Best regards,
-Ayman
