How do I get a model to read my IMU-Data?

Post by Alaa Al Nwelati » Sat Aug 20, 2022 1:36 am

Hello,

I have a project measuring neck angles for work-related musculoskeletal disorders and I'm trying to import the attached IMU-Data from two sensors into a model on your website called (Fullbody_TLModels_v2.0_OS4x).
Sensor 1 was placed on the forehead and Sensor 2 on the Sternum in the Thorax.
Can you help with how to convert these files into a readable file format for OpenSims 4.4? Because I've seen the parameters from the acceptable sensors like Xsense but they contain more recorded parameters than I have.

For more Information about how to apply the data on the model I would be also very pleased!!

Thank you very much for any help!

Best regards,

Alaa

One way to see what format is needed is to look at some of the examples and check out the files associated with the examples to see the correct format needed. Some relevant examples from the documentation page:

IMU Placer: https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8 ... IMU+Placer
IMU Inverse Kinematics: https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8 ... Kinematics
