maximum number of cameras?

New project for OpenCap, which is a new software package to estimate 3D human movement dynamics from smartphone videos. OpenCap strongly relies on OpenSim.

maximum number of cameras?

Is there a maximum number of cameras that OpenCap can support? If there is no limit, what is the highest number of cameras that have been used so far?

I'm *very* excited about OpenCap! The possibilities!

Hi Matt, no max number of cameras, we tried with 6 at most I believe. We compared using 2, 3, and 5 (see https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101 ... 7.499061v1) and didn't find large changes. Yet using 3 instead of 2 might help to reduce occlusion (eg, for gait).

Thank you very much for the response and the pointer to the bioarxiv paper. I'm even more impressed with the results - well done!!!
